The Systems Engineering Experts

For more than 25 years, SPEC Innovations has helped clients develop and execute systems engineering programs, particularly at the architecture level, using model-based techniques. We have supported the development of visionary architectures and mission engineering for the aerospace, defense, and intelligence communities. In particular we support the areas of strategic defense planning, critical infrastructure protection (CIP), disaster management, and position, navigation, and timing (PNT).

SPEC Innovations has demonstrated its capability to use proven systems engineering techniques and tools to optimize cost, schedule, and performance of systems, while reducing risk in each of these areas. Our team has leveraged the synergy of our technical expertise and communication skills to provide cost-effective solutions.

We are currently leading the model-based systems engineering (MBSE) efforts by applying the Lifecycle Modeling Language (LML) and making digital engineering a reality with our Innoslate(R) tool. Our innovative personnel and approach make any project a success. We have also pioneered model-based program management (MBPM), which includes the derivation of cost and schedule from the business processes.

We also developed a method for conducting model-based reviews (MBR) to eliminate the time and expense of conducting paper-based reviews. We also routinely conduct risk analysis, configuration management, and document management as part of MBPM.

MBSE Software

Innoslate is a collaborative MBSE tool developed by leading experts in the field. You can now engineer the whole lifecycle of any system or process in one place. Innoslate is the first systems engineering tool to use cloud technology and is made solely in the United States.

The Lifecycle of a System

Our systems engineers are experienced in broad set of disciplines that span the entire lifecycle. We use the traditional V model (below), but also perform agile systems engineering using other lifecycle models. Our techniques, processes, tools, and personnel can support any project.
